Polyx® works with the natural properties of wood, to strengthen & protect it, not against it by covering the wood with a layer of plastic. Polyx® was developed by the German flooring and technology company OSMO, in response to concerns over the harmful effects of polyurethane floor finishes on human and environmental health.

Based on natural vegetable oils, waxes and resins, this unique combination penetrates into the wood surface keeping it elastic and healthy, preventing it from getting dry and brittle.

Polyx® is extremely durable, and easy to maintain.– meant to last decades. It has been used in homes, hotels, and stores throughout the world for nearly a decade. Now Polyx® can be professionally applied in Connecticut.

Unlike polyurethane, Polyx® can be touched-up easily. With occasional touch-ups to wear-prone areas, a floor finished with Polyx® can last indefinitely.
